Always a welcome sight...halfway into the ride, Walter's SAG wagon with cold water and often a special treat like a small piece of watermelon or candy. Below Walter is offering Augie some candy...."Only one piece each", he'd say with his little endearing smile. Everyone loves Walter, he is there for us in the heat of the day, all day, like all of the other great SAG drivers that are there for the cyclists through thick and thin...baking in the sun for long hours till every cyclist has passed.

The river out of Denver along which we cycled on the bike path, the day when Cynthia Aukema fell and broke her pelvis, not far from here. Below some waterfowl and geese preening their feathers in the morning sun.
