Photos of Monday & Tuesday 18/19 August

Jerry Dykstra and his wife Linda on the second day of the Eastern section of the Tour. They are smiling bravely despite the brutal relentless headwind and the 95 mile ride of the day! Below they just arrived in Richmond after a 10 to 11 hour ride. They made it!! Tired but happy and still smiling!

The dream machine of nearly ten grand. Rick Ritters' friend rides this to speeds up to 60 miles per hour! Made in Norway. The rider lies almost on his back only inches off the ground. I feel the ground is way too close for comfort. He feels we riding up on our bikes are way to high off the ground for comfort!
All ultra light, super strong carbon fibre.

Marcia Van Hoff sharing about her late husband and read Isiah 58 to us.
Cheryl Harris starting out her ride on a high note, and below, finishing in great time at the state park where we are to camp.

220 hungry eaters lining up at two service points for dinner. Below is Cheryl and Marti with the cutie farm kitten that shared chicken and ham with us at a SAG stop along the route during our ride together.
